From manual management to AI: My transition to Antigravity and MCP for this website

Until recently, the management of this same website followed the traditional process that many developers and content creators know by heart. A local development environment, open the code editor, write the HTML or CSS by hand, check that everything is in place, make a commit and upload the changes to the repository. It was an almost artisanal process, but it required time and attention to detail, especially when it came to updating content or reviewing metrics.

The leap to Artificial Intelligence with Antigravity

Everything changed when I decided to integrate AI agents into my workflow, specifically using Antigravity. Suddenly, my role went from being a "code-hacker" to being a conductor. Instead of typing each line of markup, I now simply ask the agent in natural language what I want to change or optimize on the website, whether it's writing a new blog post, making a design adjustment, or performing a performance and SEO improvement.

The agent is responsible for analyzing the web files, proposing changes and executing them. This transition from 100% manual to automated has allowed me to focus much more on the strategy and quality of the content, leaving aside the endless hours fighting with HTML tags and CSS properties.

The real revolution: The MCP protocol

However, where I have really noticed a before and after is in the integration of my day-to-day tools through the protocol. MCP (Model Context Protocol). For those of you who are dedicated to the world of digital analytics and SEO, you know how tedious it can be to constantly jump between the website code and the control panels of platforms such as Google Search Console or Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to check if everything is working and performing as it should.

Thanks to MCP, Antigravity's AI agents now "talk" directly to these analytics tools. I can simply tell the agent: "Check if there are any indexing problems in Google Search Console for the latest articles", or "Through the MCP server analyze the data and give me an SEO performance report." The agent makes the direct query, processes the data and offers me a clear summary or, what is even more amazing, directly proposes and applies the necessary optimizations to the website code itself.

The true value: The combination of generative AI and real-time connections using the MCP standard breaks down silos. Digital analytics tools and the web development environment are no longer completely separate worlds, but rather a fluid and connected ecosystem where decisions or audits are made and executed almost instantly in an assisted manner.

The importance of human judgment

There is something fundamental that I want to make clear: I am not a web developer. My profile has always been oriented towards marketing, SEO and digital analytics. In fact, all the websites I had previously managed were built on CMS like WordPress; that is, platforms where you barely need to touch code to function. Taking the leap to maintaining a website managing purely technical files (HTML, CSS or JS) would have been a gigantic barrier for me very recently. However, tools like Antigravity have democratized technology, allowing complex custom developments to be executed without being a programming master.

But be careful! Just because the AI chops up the code and makes queries to Search Console doesn't mean we should turn off our brain. On the contrary, now the Human judgment and strategy are more important than ever. The AI assistant operates and executes at an unstoppable speed, but it is you, with your business knowledge and understanding of analytical tools, who must draw up the roadmap, know exactly what to instruct the agent and evaluate if the technological execution is in tune with what your users are looking for.

Looking to the future

Making the jump to this AI-assisted development environment has saved me countless hours of routine work and given me a fascinating new perspective on how to manage and iterate digital projects alone. It's no longer about how fast you code, but how well you can structure tasks, orchestrate your agents, and connect your favorite tools to multiply your capabilities and achieve your goals.

In fact, everything you see in this same website —from the layout of articles to the performance improvements I make in the background— it is my real development and testing environment. This is where I put these new tools into practice and push the limits of everything that integrations can offer.

If you still manage your websites in the most purist and "classic" style, I greatly encourage you to give assistants like Antigravity a chance and explore that powerful ecosystem that is being formed around MCP. It is a leap that redefines everyday life and completely transforms the way you work in the digital ecosystem.
